Park Hotel Villa Grazioli - Grottaferrata

4-star historic villa set in the hills above Rome with frescoed halls and an underground tunnel

History & Architecture

Park Hotel Villa Grazioli is a 4-star hotel housed in a 16th-century cardinal's villa on a hill overlooking Rome. The main building contains original frescoes by important Italian artists and antique furnishings, with several lounges and bars decorated in period style. Three separate buildings are linked through an underground tunnel, allowing guests to move between rooms, the main villa, and the breakfast area without stepping outside.

Rooms & Accommodations

Rooms are spread across the main villa, the Paggeria, and the Limonaia, each with satellite TV, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The main villa offers Classic Double Rooms with high vaulted ceilings and views toward Rome, while the annex buildings provide Executive Double Rooms with 20 m2 of space and modern travertine bathrooms. All rooms are cleaned daily, and guests can request a room in the main villa for larger spaces and historical character.

Dining & Breakfast

The on-site Grazioli Art Bistrot serves Mediterranean dishes on a terrace with a hanging garden and panoramic views over the valley; reservation is required for dinner. Breakfast includes a varied buffet with hot items such as omelettes, bacon, and eggs, plus fresh pastries and Italian coffee. The restaurant also offers a wine list with reasonable prices and can cater kids' meals upon request.

Location & Transportation

The hotel sits a 5-minute drive from Grottaferrata and Frascati, with quick train connections to Rome's city center from Frascati station. A complimentary shuttle service runs on a fixed schedule to Frascati town and back, and drivers can also assist with airport transfers to both Fiumicino and Ciampino. Free on-site parking is available (with overflow parking across the street under camera supervision), and the property has an electric vehicle charging station.

Pool & Recreation

The outdoor swimming pool is set in landscaped gardens with sun loungers and shaded areas, plus a poolside bar serving drinks and light snacks. An open-air bath and a hammock area provide additional relaxation options, and the hotel also offers access to a nearby golf course. Towels are provided at the pool, and the gardens feature lawns and terraces where guests can enjoy the views of Rome in the distance.
